Keep Me Posted has been providing the Toronto Film Industry a unique boutique editing environment to music video, commercial and television series projects for almost 10 years. We have been pleased to work on Television productions such as “Pop Stars” and “Strange Days at Blake Holsey High.” We have also worked on many feature films like, “Waiting for Leonard”. “Public Domain”, “Ham & Cheese”, “The ice Man”, “Washed Up”, and “Phil the Alien.”

We have also edited more award winning music videos than any other post-production facility in the country. Our latest addition is a continuation of our ongoing efforts to develop and improve our facilities and services in step with technological and market changes in the world of post-production.
Located in the accessible King West area, our facility offers parking and spacious edit suites to ensure maximum comfort for both clients and staff. Our completely overhauled administration has addressed everything from a new cleaning crew to on-call technical support to ensure that all you are concerned with is editing. The old notion that editors should work in dark isolated spaces has been updated to bright, open suites with access to an outside patio, clean kitchen and complete restroom and shower facilities. As well, we can provide a 1000sq ft. screening facility with a Proxima DLT 2500 lumen projector coupled with a 5.1 Dolby Surround System directly linked to our central control room.

Creativity also demands the best equipment and simultaneous to our new additions, we have completely re-engineered our edit suites with SDI connections throughout all centrally connected by professionally configured control room, replete with dedicated decks supporting formats from hi8 to DBeta. Standardized and centrally networked equipment have eliminated downtime. Our AVID Symphony online suite ensures the professionally finished quality that you expect and which we can offer to all your projects.

Suite 1 and Suite 2 - Avid media Composer 9000XL

The 9000 Xl runs on a Macintosh G4 with Mac 0S9.x. Using Avids Meriden video subsystem. It provides 601, Component S-video and Composite I/O. Two uncompressed (1:1) ITU-R 601 video streams come standard, as we as resolutions of 2:1, 3:1,10:1 and 20:1 two field, 2:1, 4:1 and 5:1 single field and progressive offline resolutions of 14:1, 28:1 and 35:1. Multi-camera resolutions include 10:1m and 4:1m for interlace and 8:1 and 3:1 for progressive. Multiple formats 4:3 and 16.9 for input and 4:3, 16:9, 15:9, 14:9, letterbox output (compressed resolutions) are also available. All Pan and Scan moves are key frame able on X.Y and Z axis. This is the premier system for full-featured offline, film, and online editors who require top quality results and the maximum choice of effects. It delivers dual-stream compressed and uncompressed 601 images, real-time 3D Effects, plus real-time 9-stream hardware multi-camera capability.

Suite 3 - Avid Media Composer 1000

The Media Composer 1000 is used as a video on and off-line editing system. It offers an extensive range of finishing features including component video in and out, AVR3s, AVR12s and AVR70 to AVR77, real-time effects and titling, 8 video track layering, unlimited key framing.

Suite 4 - Final Cut HD

The first choice for professional editors everywhere, Final Cut Pro 5 deliverers powerful and precise editing tool that work with virtually any format, form DV and native HDVB to fully uncompressed HD. Final Cut pro is built for speed, with a real-time multi-stream effects architecture, multi-cam editing tools and advanced color correction. Suite 5 - Avid Symphony

The Avid Symphony Universal System comes complete with 1:1 resolution, 2 streams of 601 uncompressed editing, 9 stream real-time hardware Multi-cam play and edit, 24P support, 2 channel real-time 10 bit color correction, 601 Serial Digital I/O, Ultimate real-time keying, Pan and Scan, motion tracking, scratch removal tools and more are also available. It is the industry’s most widely used non-linear editing interface with a complete set of real-time creative and corrective finishing tools, multi-format mastering and versioning. Suite 6 - Pro tools and Digital Performer

Linked to a voice over booth, this multi-purpose sound environment features SDI interface to all the edit suites, digital sources and screening rooms, In room DAT and a variety of the audio sources are configured with a controllable mixing board and critical monitors.

Suite 7 - Avid DV Express

Set up for PAL and NTSC inputs from a dedicated DV-cam deck, this FireWire configured system is perfect for the independent filmmaker in a professional environment. Avid Xpress included video editing, effects, audio, tiling, graphics, composting and interoperability features.
There are over 75 real-time and many more fast-rendered effects. Outstanding image quality is achieved with uncompressed video plus seven compression choices from 20:1 to 2:1 using high-quality Avid codec known for stunning image quality even at high compression. Customizable interfaces include a new Source/records editing ode, a new SuperBin for organizing media in a single window, new toolsets for quick access to screen layouts ideal for common tasks and map able keyboard commands.

Screening Facility

A 1000sq.ft. space serviced by Proxima DLT 2500 lumen projector and 5:1 surround sound system, linked directly to the main equipment room for control and quality accommodates all your project screening needs.
